September 1, 2020
1:30 PM - 3:00 PM
Nashville, TN

The entire world of live entertainment abruptly shut down in early March of 2020 due to COVID-19. Unlike many other industries that have been able to sustain, pivot, or shift - we cannot and are sitting at zero income for the foreseeable future. The entire industry is in dire need of financial assistance in order to survive. Without it, many production companies, contractors, venues, road crew, and more simply will not be able to weather this storm.

In support of the #WeMakeEvents effort to “Light It Up Red” on the night of September 1, the Touring Career Workshop is coordinating an effort that day called “Keep The Show Rolling”. In brief, here is the concept:

  • The overall idea is that we bring attention to our needs by having a large presence of branded live entertainment industry related vehicles rolling through the downtown Nashville area.

  • We will line up/meet at 1:30 PM and depart at 2:00 PM. The entire “roll through” should be done by 3:00 PM.

  • The staging point for all vehicles is in Lot R Northwest of Nissan Stadium. We will be on site to assist. Please do not block any streets or driveways with vehicles.

  • The current route map is attached here. We will keep everyone posted via social media and email of any changes.

  • Nashville area production vendors are encouraged to send their company trucks/vehicles/tour buses (showing their logos/branding if possible). Cars/private vehicles are welcome as well.

  • Ideally the vehicles would have signage, hashtags, etc (poster board, printed signs, etc) that identifies the need/cause.

  • NOTE: This is NOT an official parade, and there are no street closures - so all traffic laws must be obeyed. We must stop at traffic lights and cannot block intersections. We need to be good partners to the city in doing this. Therefore, there will likely be gaps between vehicles along the route – but regardless with enough of us, this will be VERY impactful.

Touring Career Workshop will keep everyone informed of further details in the coming days via social media and email notification.

Please help us spread the word and get as many vehicles as we can to gain the attention that we need! Together we are strong and can be part of the loud voice that our industry needs right now!

For any questions, please contact Chris Lisle at .
